Lauren started out on an ambulance.

Straight out of high school she volunteered with her local volunteer fire department as a certified Indiana EMT, then worked for a private ambulance service before moving into hospital operations. She also served in the Indiana Air National Guard, in intelligence.

The decade that followed was spent inside regulated healthcare. At Franciscan Health she supervised more than forty people across six departments and two campus locations, running the front end of the revenue cycle in a 24/7/365 environment, the part of the operation where registration accuracy is a compliance function, not clerical work. She was an Epic Super User through a hospital acquisition, on the ground for the Go Live. She later moved into a regional role supporting all of Franciscan's Central Indiana campuses, where the portfolio included the system's most sensitive accounts: adoption and surrogacy cases requiring coordination across agencies, law offices, social workers, and eligibility vendors, and requiring absolute discretion.

Most of her time at the FAANG tech company was spent as an HR Business Partner in its fulfillment network, and that's where the project work sat. She built a training program adopted across thirteen Southeastern locations. She ran the company's annual development program with a thirty-person planning team and more than fifty executive presenters. She sat on the site safety review board, reviewing violations, assessing contributing factors, and determining corrective actions. She also has experience supporting fulfillment operations there.

From there she moved into the company's air cargo division, the most tightly regulated environment she'd worked in since the hospital. An air gateway looks like a regular fulfillment center until you account for the federal requirements concerning physical facility access and governing anything loaded onto an aircraft. The role put her on the road, traveling to support sites across the network: in fulfillment she traveled throughout the Southeast, and in air cargo she traveled to California.

She had earned her Bachelor's in Business, Human Resource Management while working full time. In 2023 she left the company to finish her MBA, and used the same stretch to add a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and OSHA 30-Hour General Industry. Her daughter was born during those years, and Veskyra was built in them.

Healthcare, air cargo, warehouse safety. Three regulated industries, three separate regulatory regimes, one underlying problem: records that have to be right, kept by people who are tired, under conditions nobody designed for. Lauren has been the person filing those records and the person accountable for them. Veskyra's platforms are built on what that taught her: the software should carry the weight, not the user.

Kyrvec was her first idea.

Justin's title has changed a lot in twenty years. The job hasn't.

Incident Response Coordinator. Senior Global Program Manager, Risk and Compliance. Regional Risk Manager. Every one of them is a version of the same question: what happened, who needs to know, and what has to change so it doesn't happen again.

He learned it on the fireground, and he learned it in stages. He came up as a volunteer with Center Township Union Fire Department in Muncie, Indiana, a combination department, where he earned the bulk of his certifications. He then went career with a busy department, running heavy EMS volume as an EMT while continuing to serve as a volunteer at Center Township. From there the fire and hazmat side of that experience took him into industry: a leading pharmaceutical company, as a firefighter, where confined space entry and hazmat technician work were the job rather than the training scenario.

He holds Firefighter I and II, Airport Firefighter for aircraft crash and rescue, and Driver Operator Pumper; technician-level rope rescue, extrication, and vehicle and machinery rescue; Hazmat Technician; and command and instructional credentials through Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector II, Fire Investigator I, and Instructor III. Much of it is IFSAC-accredited. He remains an Indiana-certified EMT and previously held Advanced EMT. He also worked the Katrina and Rita response as a FEMA Disaster Assistance Employee, based out of Florida.

Reskyr is built for the kind of department he came up in.

From there he moved to a FAANG tech company, where he has spent fourteen years, thirteen of them in risk and compliance program management at global scale. He is currently a Regional Risk Manager working in environmental health and safety. Alongside that career he served eight years in the Air National Guard as a Communications Intelligence Analyst, where he held a TS/SCI clearance.

The technical half of Veskyra is his. He holds a master's in cybersecurity and information assurance and a bachelor's in network engineering and security, alongside an MBA, and he started out administering networks and running help desk escalations freelance at nineteen. He never stopped being the person who actually builds the thing.

That matters more than it sounds like it does. A fire department's records are sensitive. A range's membership roster is sensitive. An OSHA log is a legal document. The person who decided how Veskyra stores those things holds CompTIA Security+, Cloud+, and PenTest+ and the Cloud Security Alliance's certificate in cloud security knowledge, and treats that as the floor rather than a feature.

He also holds the Associate Safety Professional credential from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
